2011 Statistics – Why you should participate
March 2011 was a particularly successful year. In the reports submitted by our nonprofit partners, 39 nonprofit organizations hosted a Write A Will workshop from which 1,066 local citizens attended; an increase of 72% over the prior year.
National Public Awareness Campaign with Local Participation
The Leave A Legacy program, supported by the Planned Giving Roundtable, sponsors the annual “Write A Will” month every March. Our mission is to educate the community about planned giving and the importance of creating a will or trust. Southern Arizona nonprofit organizations host free public workshops assisting with the planning process of a will, highlighting current law changes as well as introducing leaving a legacy to a charity of their choice.
Special Thanks…
Thank you to the Planned Giving Roundtable of Southern Arizona board and marketing committee with the cooperation of the Center for Planned Giving staff and the Arizona Daily Star. The Arizona Daily Star recognized the importance of the initiative and provided underwriting for an additional 50,000 copies of the insert. Thank you to each and every professional advisor, non-profit staff and volunteer and over 1000 attendees!
